The highly regarded IFLR1000 has in its 2014 guide ranked Moalem Weitemeyer Bendtsen as a top 4 M&A law firm. A partner from an international law firm states that Moalem Weitemeyer Bendtsen delivers on the same level as the firms listed in tier 1: "I find they have the resources to do the work at the highest level”. One client echoes this assessment and comments on the breadth of the firm’s bench: "I think the juniors [associates] are of a high standard; the material we got always was of a very high standard."

According to IFLR1000, one senior banking client singles out Dan Moalem: "He's a very, very talented lawyer from a theoretical point of view and fortunately he is not the most by-the-book lawyer and is very pragmatic in trying to find solutions where it could be very easy to find problems.”

IFLR1000 ranks our Banking & Financing team as a top 7 law firm. Both practice head David Moalem and his team receive client praise: "They have one of the top capital markets teams around and that's because they have David; he's absolutely one of the best,” one banking client is quoted of saying to IFLR1000. Another client praises David Moalem and is quoted for saying: "In that area [capital markets] he is really one of the experts in Denmark; very competent and easy to work with."

The restructuring and insolvency team at Moalem Weitemeyer Bendtsen led by partner Thomas Weitemeyer is recognized for its involvement in a number of large transactions this year, including representing the buyers of more than a billion kroner's worth of property from real estate group Essex and acting as the trustee in the multijurisdictional bankruptcy of Datoselskabet af 28/2 2011 (formerly Danish Hardwood).

Commenting on the IFLR1000 2014 rankings, managing partner Dan Moalem states: “We consider IFLR1000 one of the three most influential and well-researched law firm guides. Being recognized as a top 4 M&A law firm and a top 7 Banking & Financing law firm by peers and clients only 5 years after we incorporated Moalem Weitemeyer Bendtsen makes us proud, humble and very determined.” Moalem Weitemeyer Bendtsen’s chairman Thomas Weitemeyer adds: “Looking ahead, we are particularly pleased by the fact that our clients make the effort of highlighting the quality of our associates. We are focused on making the recent advent of M&A and Banking & Finance partners Enrique Finkelstein and Peter Østergaard Nielsen well received by both clients and peers”.
